1945, Pyrmont

1945 is year of Indonesia Independence day. 1945 is an Indonesian restaurant that specialises in authentic Dutch East Indies cuisine. I really like the idea. Once I found this restaurant; I decided that I must go and try.

In Sydney, there are a lot of Indonesian restaurant but 1945 is having different concept. It's more proper dining place; you can call it "fine-dining" Indonesian restaurant. The food were very good; even my friend who are not Indonesian likes it. This restaurant is vegetarian-friendly as well. It's kinda expensive but I think it's worthy.

The people were very nice; they explained the food that they served which is really good for customers who are not Indonesian. The best part, the waitress wear beautiful "Kebaya"; traditional Indonesian clothes. It's a good place to bring your friends who are not Indonesian because you can show and explain to them a lot of things about Indonesia.

The French House, Waterloo

My friend and I were thinking where we should go on Saturday for brunch and I remember this beautiful cafe in front of my church, French House. The decor with French vintage style is really beautiful. The food are displayed beautifully; even the bread looks very nice. I felt like buying all those breads :)

However, I never like a cafe that doesn't serve hot food (eg. pancakes, french toast, big breakfast, omelette, etc). French House only serves sandwiches, pastries, many type of cakes; they don't serve food that required cooking on the spot. But still it's a nice cafe for relaxing and chatting with your friends.
