French Toast Series in Sydney

When I go out for brunch, I would order french toast whenever the cafe has it on the menu. I thought, why don't I start writing about all french toast that I ever tried in Sydney and called it as "French Toast Series in Sydney"?

The french toast was allright. Instead of serving with fruits, it's with bacon. It's very interesting combination. You will find this kind of french toast a lot in New Zealand; apparently, it's common to eat french toast with bacon. I gave the bacon to my friend though :)

The french toast was good but the size is too small. I just checked the
website; it seems they don't serve french toast anymore.

Dolci Dolci (rename to Lilly's)
Rhodes Waterside Shopping Centre
Level 2, Shop 50, 1 Rider Bvd
Rhodes NSW 2138

This is one of my favourite french toast in town. The thickness of bread is perfect (I love thick bread). I keep coming back to this place :)

The french toast is allright, not a special one.

Yes, it's a same french toast, one of my favourite french toast. The presentation is slightly changed after they changed the cafe name but the taste is still awesome.

La Buvette
35 Challis Ave
Potts Point NSW 2011

The best french toast in town I tried so far, no doubt. The french toast is really good; probably it will be better if they server with thicker bread :) The maple syrup has a perfect taste.

C1 Cafe Brasserie
c1/91 Archer Street
Chatswood 2067

This cafe is located in Chatswood Chase shopping centre. I was surprised because the french toast is really similar with the one in Dolci Dolci/Lilly's.

Waffle Cafe
U6/ 1 Sergeants La
St Leonards 2065

This was the first cafe that I went, served french toast using baguette bread. It was good one.

Wah Wah Lounge
1 Danks Street
Waterloo NSW 2017

It's a good french toast although I found it's too sweet.

Coogee Cafe
221 Coogee Bay Road
Coogee 2034

It's not one of my favourite. I didn't like the combination. Those fruits made the taste little bit weird for me.

To be honest, I was little bit skeptical when I saw the presentation of this french toast. I thought it would be another standard french toast. However, it turned out to be very good. I don't mind to go there and have french toast again.

The french toast size was big and the taste was very good too. However, I don't really like the combination/topping given. I couldn't exactly remember whether the white cream was cream or yogurt? Then there was passionfruits which I don't like to eat together with french toast.
Cafe Lounge

Surry Hills NSW 2010

That was my second time going to Cafe Lounge; the french toast was over-cooked and burned. I remember when I went there first time, french toast was brilliant. I can't help to say here (although it's supposed to french toast only); I love the chai there.
Coffee Garam
29 Bellevue Street
Surry Hills 2010
(02) 8065 1941

This place serves one of my favourite french toast in town. The taste was really good and the maple syrup was perfect, not too sweet. The size was quite small though; I guess I need to order 2 portions next time :)

This is another picture of my favourite french toast at La Buvette, best french toast. I notice the presentation keeps changing everytime I went there; however, the taste is consistent. Best french toast for sure!

Great french toast but I am not sure why they put something like yogurt instead of maple syrup for the sauce. I like the french toast (bread was good) but the sauce made it taste little bit weird.

Cafe C
281 King Street
Newtown 2042

Another place that I found serving french toast with bacon. French toast was allright, probably little bit sweet.
